Last year, we fell in love with the Hijarbie Instagram account that features Barbie dolls dressed in chic outfits inspired by Muslim women. Now thanks to Shorso—a UK company that makes modest sportswear for both girls and women—kids can actually dress their Barbies in modest Muslim clothing.
RELATED STORY
The company is currently selling at least a dozen different modest outfits on their eBay page made specifically for Barbie dolls. The handmade outfits come in casual styles—think track suits and jeans—and fancier items including ball gowns and a beautiful floral wedding dress with sleeves.
While the outfits don't include the dolls, they each come with a coordinating hijab and retail for ₤9.99, which is only about $12.50.
But that's not all. In addition to the hijabi fashion made for Barbie dolls, Shorso also released a new line of 13-inch dolls that sing a song in Arabic that you can listen to here.
The Shorso Mini dolls not only come with a handmade abaya but also a matching hijab and shoes and retail for ₤19.99 or about $25.
