My Most-Complimented Outfits From NYFW
Looks you don't have to overthink—but will definitely make an impression.

Friends! Last week I mentioned that New York Fashion Week would kick off a very historic—dare we say, unprecedented—time in fashion, but little did I know it’d be the most life-changing week for me…thus far? Long story short, I’m engaged!
Yes, after dropping our Changemakers Issue starring the one and only Teyana Taylor, joining forces with Who What Wear for our inaugural Friends and Family dinner, and accepting Harlem’s Fashion Row 2025 Editor of the Year Award, my fiancé proposed! Two days later, I raced off to Philadelphia (literally, imagine MC executive editor Andrea Stanley and I making our train with just five minutes to spare) for our Power Play summit (more on that next week!) in collaboration with Marshall’s and the Marshall’s Good Stuff Social Club.
Yes, I am tired. But the show must go on! And by show, I mean telling you all about my time at NYFW.
WHAT I BOUGHT (AND WANTED TO BUY, BUT HAVEN’T YET):
In the mad dash leading up to New York Fashion Week, I did what I said I always should not do, and went on a bit of a fashion and beauty shopping spree. I’m not sure I’ll keep everything, but I did get some good stuff and am excited to share the links. It’s a mix of new-to-me brands (Maygel Coronel! Theodosia!) and tried-and-trues (Coach! Danessa Myricks!).
MOST VALUABLE BRAND TO ME:
The MVBM award goes to Kallmeyer. I wore it at the Harlem's Fashion Row dinner, for a night of bouncing from event to event, and, of course, to Daniella Kallmeyer’s show, a true highlight of the season. Though the brand has been around for over a decade, Daniella has recently really hit her stride, creating simple, sensual, cool-girl pieces for women who want no fuss, just fab clothing.
STREET STYLE I WANT TO SHOP (AND LINKS TO OTHER THINGS I THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT):
Ahead, you’ll find a smattering of pieces I spotted on friends and immediately said, “I need that!” Also, other things I wore during New York Fashion Week that landed me compliment upon compliment. Sharing is caring!
