'Grown-ish' Stars Chloe and Halle Bailey Take You on a Tour of Barcelona
The actresses, R&B singers, and sisters share their favorite Catalonian stops and packing necessities.

We were there for only two days (opening for the Formation tour in 2016), so we immediately dropped our bags off at our hotel, Le Meridien, to go out and explore. We headed straight to Bogatell Beach, which has warm water and glittering sand. One of us is a books-and-headphones beachgoer (Halle), while the other can’t wait to dive into the ocean (Chloe). It was our first time seeing nude sunbathers!
We spent one day on a big yacht swimming, dancing to music, and admiring the view: You can see the Serra de Collserola mountains from the water—it’s breathtaking.
We document everything with our GoPro so it’s easier to live in the moment. On our way to the docks we snapped a picture of a man covered with colorful birds.
As vegans, we loved the city’s fresh fruits and vegetables—the street-cart watermelon and pineapple are delicious! Carbs like pasta and fries are our weakness, though.
We want to go back and spend a month there, visiting churches like Sagrada Familia and Santa Maria del Mar and monuments like Gaudi’s Casa Batlló and Palau Güell. Learning about history and other people’s cultures inspires our music. We may be from different places and have different beliefs, but we’re all connected.
