First Dua Lipa, Now Cardi B—This Fiery Chanel Look Is Becoming a Celebrity Favorite
Their shoes couldn't be more different, though.
Earlier this summer, Cardi B blessed her 35 million TikTok followers with a Chanel handbag haul, complete with three designs from the Métiers d'Art Spring 2026 fashion show. Before performing with Kehlani in New York on August 21, it seems like Cardi stopped by the Chanel store once again: She took center stage in a fiery outfit from the same collection, plus her take on the sheer shoe trend.
Cardi B was dripping in Chanel while rapping "Ring" and "AH HA" with Kehlani at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Fueling her obsession with Matthieu Blazy's first Métiers d'Art show, her longtime stylist, Kollin Carter, dressed her in one of the line's boldest looks. Made up of a cropped blazer and fitted pencil skirt, the look came in a lava-like yellow, black, and red pattern with a scalloped crimson trim.
And yes, because she's Cardi B, she completed the two-piece with the It bag of the summer: a matching Magma Maxi Flap. If you're a Chanel collector like Cardi, you know what a feat it is to secure her exact purse. Currently, it's available at almost double the retail price on the secondhand market for $14,595.

The high-fashion concert 'fit walked the runway nearly ten months ago. So, Cardi B had time to decide how to exercise her creative liberties with the look. First, she traded the model's black turtleneck for a peekaboo tomato bra. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper then accessorized with gold-and-garnet button earrings and cat-eye sunglasses. However, her shoes became the most surprising swap.

Instead of cap-toe pumps—a storied circa-1957 silhouette in Chanel's brand DNA—Cardi B sampled sheer shoes instead. Cardi's perfect white pedicure shone through transparent PVC toe boxes, which featured crisscrossed, buckled black bands and tapered stilettos. Cardi B is the latest A-lister to test pedicure-revealing pumps, following Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Zendaya, and more.
Perhaps picking this pair was her way of separating her fiery outfit from Dua Lipa, who wore the same jacket, skirt, and Maxi Flap Bag with black-and-white cap-toe heels at the Couture Spring 2026 show last January.
Earlier this year, Dua Lipa styled the same skirt set with Chanel's cap-toe pumps.
Fashion people will immediately recognize the brand responsible for the on-fire outfit, but Carter hasn't credited the designer behind Cardi's sheer shoes. You'll need an in with the Blazy-led label to shop her Métiers d'Art moment, but similar heels are spreading like lava on today's street style circuit. Once you've perused the pumps in the edit below, pair them with a fall-ready suit à la Cardi.
