Each month, Marie Claire travels to a new city to discover the very best in beauty that location has to offer, from hidden gem holistic spas to skincare emporiums to workout classes you can't find anywhere else.

Top Shop: Balmoria

Enter cosmetic nirvana at Balmoria (opens in new tab), which sells only artisanal makeup, skincare, and wellness brands made in Mexico. The shelves are constantly updated with new selections, so if you're overwhelmed with choices, the knowledgeable staff will help you wade through them based on your skin type and fave ingredients.

Hair Haven: Silvia Galvan

This location (opens in new tab) is one of a mini chain of salons, which is famous for its modern cuts and color, but locals those in the know seek it out for their artistic brow shaping. While there, stock up on styling products: The salon carries top notch brands like Kérastase and Redken.

Go-To Nail Bar: Mylk Beauty Bar

This cozy spot (opens in new tab) feels less like a nail studio and more like your best friend's living room (if she happened to have amazing taste in furniture). Sink back into a plush armchair during your pedicure, and—for an elevated manicure—try one of their signature minimalist designs like metallic French tips.

Chillest Spa: Spa Liverpool

Tucked into its namesake department store, Spa Liverpool (opens in new tab) provides a welcome mid-shopping spree break for pampering. For a quick reboot, indulge in a hot-stone massage or oxygenating facial. To lean in and make it a full-on spa-day, the signature hydrothermal ritual is extra luxurious: Alternate between biothermal showers, saunas, and jacuzzis before receiving a treatment.

Sweat Sesh: Biking in Chapultepec Park

Instead of hitting the gym or an overpriced class, look to nature. To scope out some scenery while you sweat, rent a bike and cycle the circuit of Chapultepec Park (opens in new tab), the oldest urban park in Latin America. And after you're done spinning, keep burning cals by strolling through the Natural History Museum (one of nine museums on site).

Best for Beauty Rest: Hotel Downtown

Luxuriate at this popular destination (opens in new tab), which is right in the heart of the city center. Brunch on fresh papaya or lounge by the picturesque pool (don’t forget the SPF (opens in new tab)). When the sun goes down, hit the rooftop for a signature cocktail.
