Fall is in the air and that means only one thing, it's Back to School time, which in our world means New York Fashion Week.
Our mailboxes are stuffed with invites and, of course, each designer's show is important. But every once in a while the actual invitation itself stands out before we've even seen the clothing collection. This season's current favorite is from Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia. The designer is known for being a girly girl and her collections always have a sense of whimsy and fun to them so we really shouldn't have been surprised that for Spring/Summer 2012, Stacey created the custom flower hair piece pictured above!
Each clip (yes, they do actually work in your hair!) was made by hand with silk organza and burlap, along with feather and crystal detailing. The rice paper invite was attached with a matching floral theme. If Stacey and her team spent so much time and thought on this, we can only imagine how special and creative the clothing will be.
We can't wait for September 12th!
