Hello Ladies,This week, I’ve got leather on my mind: a motorcycle jacket to be exact. I’ve wanted a lush moto jacket ever since I first saw Kate Moss rock one with just about every outfit she wore. I longed for the bad-ass quality an amazing leather jacket adds to even the most basic outfit. But here’s the thing: finding amazing jackets in my size wasn’t difficult at all. The challenge was finding one that actually zipped and didn’t leave me with limited arm mobility.
I tried over 50 jackets on my quest the perfect motorcycle jacket to complete the model-off-duty look. My favorites hail from the UK—sorry ladies, but you’ll have to fork over for international shipping. Trust me, they’re worth it. Topping my list: the CURVE Long Leather Biker Jacket from ASOS (about $200), which should be arriving right in time for spring. Evans’ Denim Asymetric Biker Jacket, is a twist on the classic and worth every penny (about $80). I can’t wait to add it to my jacket arsenal. Another amazing jacket is available to us plus-size girls via Dorothy Perkins. The Black PU Zip Biker Jacket (about $90) is a little longer than the classic and has a very flattering cinch waist detail. For a biker jacket with a splash of color, consider Avenue’s Plus Size Urban Moto Jacket (on sale for $29.99). It comes in shades of grey, bronze, plum and tan.
Once you find your perfect jacket, don’t hesitate to experiment. I wear mine ala Kate Moss: with just about everything I own! I love to pair it with a great dress, a pair of skinny’s or a slim fitting pencil skirt. It’s a sure way to add edge to any outfit. Where did you find your biker jacket?
