Whether you're on a stair stepper, stair climber, StairMaster, or actual stairs, the tempo range generally recommended spans from 124-128 BPM. This is usually the province of dance cuts and remixes. Both are represented here. But, I've tried to round it out with some Van Halen, Duran Duran, and a brassy, swinging number from Lyle Lovett. (For the latter, you won't actually hear much brass on the iTunes sample. But the song's narrative gradually gives way to a sort of game of catch between the fiddle, backup singers, steel guitar, horns, and piano. I can't promise it'll win you over. But it'll definitely try.)
