In the ultimate quest for inner beauty and outer glow, Marie Claire asks our favorite trailblazers to share intel on finding balance in their busy lives. Read it all here, in Beauty Inside & Out.

You might say that Ariel Kaye, the L.A.-based founder and CEO of Parachute Home, birthed two babies during the pandemic: First, her son Van in December. And this month, a bedding and bath collection for Crate and Barrel "inspired by misty Venice Beach mornings and hot poolside afternoons." While that doesn't seem to translate to a lot of down time, Kaye insists she prioritizes herself, making time for her favorite rituals. "In these times—and after giving birth to my second baby—a restorative nap in my Brushed Cotton Sheets or walk on the beach a few times a month have helped me to feel recharged during this busy stage of life." Ahead, more feel-good picks and healthy recipe she's put into rotation for the whole family.

Inner Beauty

Maison Louis Marie No.04:
"I’m drawn to subtle scents and this oil has been my go-to for years. The notes of sandalwood are earthy and I like that it’s a unisex fragrance. Plus, it’s paraben-, sulfate-, and phthalate-free."

Headspace:
"Meditation and sitting for 20 minutes has made a huge difference in how I approach life and manage tense situations. When meditating regularly I really see a positive impact on my ability to be an effective leader and a patient, present mother. When I need a little extra help I turn to Headspace to help me get centered."

Nécessaire The Body Wash in Eucalyptus
"In the evening, I try to put my phone away an hour before bed and take a hot shower to unwind. This helps me to wash away the stress of the day, both literally and figuratively. I love the scent and the clean formula of the Nécessaire wash—it always leaves my skin feeling refreshed. Afterwards, I apply The Body Lotion. Then I get cozy in my Cloud Cotton Robe—it’s so soft I often fall asleep in it. For me, this ritual helps me to feel relaxed after a busy day."

Natural Vitality Calm
"I like to drink it before bed. It’s rich in magnesium which naturally relaxes the muscles and nerves."

Outer Glow

Biologique Recherche Lait U
"I keep my skincare routine fairly simple. I shower and wash my face with this cleansing milk—it leaves me feeling refreshed after a busy day. I started using it before my wedding and it has remained a staple."

Osea Essential Hydrating Oil
"It soothes, refreshes, and leaves me with a dewy glow. Plus, it’s made from the highest quality ingredients, so I feel better knowing that I’m using non-harmful products on my skin."

Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna
"I like to keep my makeup minimal and you’ll often find me fresh-faced. I think a no-makeup look is youthful and best for my skin. When I feel like getting a little dolled up, Saie Mascara 101 and Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna gives me a sun-kissed look that makes me feel fresh, bright and healthy."

The dish is quick and easy, but has such a complex and amazing flavor.

"One of the silver linings of being home all the time is that I’ve found a new appreciation for cooking nourishing and healthy meals for my family. We eat mostly pescatarian at home, and I tried Alison Roman's Tomato Poached Fish with Chile Oil and Herbs from the New York Times (full recipe at the link) last spring. It has become a weekly dinner in our home."
