Makeup How-To: Shimmery Steel Eye
Makeup How-To: Shimmery Steel Eye
Inspired by the Marissa Webb Spring Summer 2015 runway show (pictured above), we loved how the shimmery silver on the inner corners of the model's eye blended into a charcoal matte shadow to create movement. Naturally, we wanted to find a wearable way to incorporate these two shades into our every day lives.
Step 1: Apply a light "steel" eyeshadow from the inner crease to the outer corner creating a thick winged shadow. We used MAC Eyeshadow in Scene.
Step 2: Using your finger, dab Inglot Body Pigment Powder 72 on the lid only.
Step 3: Next use a charcoal eye liner (we used Rimmel Eyeliner in Hurricane Grey) to outer corners, on both the top and bottom.
Step 4 and 5: Finally, use a face oil, like Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil, to inner corner and center of the lid only.
We kept the lip pale (we finished the look with NYX Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic) to make it all about the eyes.
