Oh, Just Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes Staring Lovingly into Each Other's Eyes at the AMAs
If this doesn't cure the Sunday scaries, nothing will.
Sunday night's American Music Awards were full of memorable moments. Selena Gomez debuted a new, blonde look and gave her first live performance since her kidney transplant. Tracee Ellis Ross wore so many amazing outfits, we basically lost count.
But the most important moment of the night happened not on stage, but in the audience, when Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes sat next to each other, gazed longingly in each other's eyes, and made us believe in magic and happiness all over again.
The internet was as pleased as we were.
They declared the look a standard by which to measure all forms of love in your life:
get you someone that looks at you the way niall and shawn look at each other #AMAs pic.twitter.com/lCHKUeYDRbNovember 20, 2017
They wrote perfect captions for the moment:
Shawn: You're so beautiful, I love you.Niall: I love you too. Let's make out and break the internet! #AMAs pic.twitter.com/zNEtGzmKiSNovember 20, 2017
Zooming in on the picture only makes it better:
NIALL AND SHAWN. BEST FRIENDS. BOTH PERFORMED. BOTH WON. LEGENDS ONLY. #AMAs pic.twitter.com/WAMm1y8ppGNovember 20, 2017
But that wasn't the pair's only AMA photo opp. Nope, they also posed arm-to-arm for this adorable shot:

And Olly Murs caught them on camera for his Instagram Story:

And when Shawn won Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, who did he hug? That's right, Niall.

Let's slow that down:And that's STILL not all. Before the show even started, Shawn was talking about Niall on the carpet:
This friendship is everything.
