While it seems almost every celebrity under the sun is readily available to share pieces of their personal lives on social media, there is still a handful of famous folk who remain noticeably absent from our news feeds.
At the top of the list? Emily Blunt.
"I'm like a dinosaur with [social media], No. 1. But it's also not really an organic sort of fit for me," she told Vulture in a recent interview, explaining why you won't ever find her on Instagram. "I can barely remember to text people back!"
And even if posting a pic here and there interested Blunt in the least, she would still choose to forgo the occasional #tbt or #nofilter upload. For the Golden Globe winner, she believes her career somewhat depends on it.
"I also feel that my job is to persuade people that I'm somebody else," the Devil Wears Prada star elaborated. "So if I reveal too much, then I'm doing my job a disservice, in a way."
Not only does Blunt stay offline to keep a sense of authenticity as an actress, it's part of a conscious effort to maintain who she is outside of Hollywood. "It's about a balance," she added. "I really am in love with this job, but I'm also in love with my life outside of it. One of them very much feeds the other."
Totally get it. But still, we wouldn't mind double-tapping an Emily Blunt selfie at some point or another. Give it some time, maybe?
