On Friday, Kerry Washington shared the first trailer for her new HBO movie Confirmation, about Anita Hill and her testimony during Clarence Thomas's 1991 Supreme Court confirmation hearings. The movie also stars The Wire's Wendell Pierce as Clarence Thomas, Greg Kinnear as then-Senator Joe Biden, and Jennifer Hudson as Angela Wright, another woman who accused Thomas of sexual harassment. "One of the most important things that happened as a result of the hearings was that it changed the global conversation," Kerry said during last month's Television Critics Association press tour. "That is an outcome that we all felt was really important, and we wanted to make sure that conversation continues." Confirmation airs April 16.
