Princess Charlotte has something of a precocious palate. Previously, Kate Middleton mentioned that the four-year-old royal enjoys olives—usually an taste acquired much later—and now, it seems that Charlotte's developed a liking for spice.
Kate revealed her daughter's penchant for fiery foods at an event this morning. She and Prince William were visiting the Prince Shah Karim Al Hussaini, Aga Khan IV, in anticipation of their upcoming tour of Pakistan. The royal couple said they were looking forward to the visit, and particularly excited to sample the local cuisine.
According to a tweet from royal reporter Rebecca English, Kate mentioned that she makes curry at home. Generally, she makes a hotter version for her and William, and a mild one for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, but it seems that her middle child will sometimes try the adults' plates. "Charlotte is pretty good with heat," Kate said, per English.
It isn't just her choice of foods: Charlotte has been growing up quickly, right before royal watchers' eyes. Just this past month, the young princess attended her first day of school at Thomas's Battersea, a private school in London. She was reportedly very happy about joining her older brother, who'd already been enrolled at Thomas's for two years.
A source told People that Charlotte was "so excited" to start the year alongside Prince George. "She can’t wait to be with George at big school," the source added.
