As if 2020 couldn't get any worse, Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson have reportedly broken up.

Sources for People claim that the couple decided to end their relationship in early April, subsequently quarantining apart from each other. Delevingne, specifically, has been spending time with her friends, including sisters Margaret and Rainey Qualley, and Kaia Gerber.

"Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it's over now," an insider said. "Their relationship just ran its course."

Neither Benson nor Delevingne has publicly acknowledged the breakup rumors, and representatives for the couple have yet to respond.

This isn't the first time that breakup rumors have circulated around the couple. Last December, a cryptic tweet sent out by Delevingne's Twitter account said, "Me and Ashley broke up." The message, however, was soon after deleted, causing fans to speculate that the model's Twitter was hacked.

Delevingne and Benson have been together since at least 2018, when they were first spotted kissing at London's Heathrow Airport.

Last June, while accepting the Hero Award from nonprofit organization The Trevor Project, Delevingne spoke heartwarmingly about Benson, saying, "I also have another very special woman in this room to thank, and you know who you are. She's one of the people who helped me love myself when I needed it most, and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought."
