Much like Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2015, Azealia Banks is taking us back to the '90s. Her highly-anticipated comeback track 'Chasing Time,' has arrived and we're officially deeming it the new '212,' as it's ripe with mainstream potential.
The single is a shining example of the raise-the-roof cross between electro and hip-hop. It's half-sung, half-rapped, but fully infectious with its blunt lyrics, soulful singing, and heavy-bass grooves.
Per her public split with her former label Interscope record, Banks also serves up some lyrical retaliation: "Since my attitude is bitchy / but you already knew that" and "Checked my watch / I had the future in my pocket / but I lost it when I gave it to you"
Her new album Broke With Expensive Taste (a sentiment that's SO our m.o.) doesn't have a release date yet, but if this track is any indication, it'll be worth the wait.
