Chrissy Teigen is the queen of being real. Her unfiltered and honest posts on social media are not only hilarious—but they're so relatable. She has singlehandedly restored authenticity and honesty to an often critical and fabricated space. But there's more to the star than her tweets and Instagram posts. Here, a few of our favorite things we learned from her while on the set of our cover shoot.
RELATED STORY
1. She eats a fish a day.
Chrissy's mom, John, and Luna brought Teigen an entire sea bass for lunch on the shoot. "I eat a fish a day, I'm obsessed!" said Teigen.
2. She's obsessed with bath robes.
Whenever she had a break on set, Chrissy would change into a floral Gucci robe from home.
3. She has an aversion to dancing.
Teigen will do practically anything...except dance. "I can't dance. I don't take choreography very well. I will twerk", admitted Teigen.
4. No topics are off-limits when it comes to strangers.
"I love asking the laser [hair removal] people: 'So do I have a lot of hair for a mixed Asian-white girl?' And I love how the butt crack is the least painful."
5. She cleans her shoes in public sinks.
During the cake-decorating interview, Teigen spilled frosting on one of her boots. To clean it, she decided to scrub it with paper towels in a nearby sink.
6. She hasn't quite mastered the LA trends.
Sophie Chiche, founder of Shape House, told Teigen of the post-sugar detox: "It gets really warm. To prepare, don't think of it as lying there and watching TV; think of it as a workout...Your heart will start beating. Your body is actually responding like it's running a 10K." Teigen responded, "So I got a full weave."
7. Her honesty gets the best of her.
Teigen says, "I'm the person who had the fake ID in high school and college, and I would show it and be like, 'I'm sorry; it's fake,' and run off."
8. She is quite the hilarious daredevil.
When asked to do a stunt "where you drop in upside down, from 40 feet in the air, and make out with someone," she responded, "Sure, but no tongue."
9. She has no boundaries with friends either.
During her interview, Teigen said, "John and I had a double date, and we were joking around, and I go, 'John's never seen my butthole.' And John says, 'Are you kidding? Every time anyone does anything doggy style, you see a butthole. I see it every time.' I was like, 'We are never doing it doggy style again."
10. She places sugar and carbs over everything.
After completing a post-sugar detox, Teigen remembers, "Ooh, there's still a full birthday cake waiting in the car!"
