Finally, We've Been Gifted with an Avocado Emoji

Don't know how we survived this long without it.

Remember that time you ate an avocado so delicious that the English language simply couldn't do it justice? Words were too cumbersome, too flabby for such a profound mush-on-toast experience. You needed something streamline. You needed an emoji.

Well, this is a crisis you no longer need to endure, as Apple has released a new raft of food and drink symbols, on the iOS 10.2, to describe all manner of alimentary encounters.

Included in the update are emojis for bacon, paella, pancakes, stuffed flatbread, pickle, potato, kiwi, peanut, egg, salad, carrot, croissant and a baguette.

There's more: not only are there more emojis to choose from, but they have been revamped to appear more lifelike.

The news couldn't come at a better time.

According to a recent survey, 72% of people age 18-25 prefer to express their feelings via emojis than written word and 29% of all people surveyed used emojis in half of their text messages. Now, Apple has launched an iMac with a dedicated emoji keyboard. Even Dominoes allows users to order pizza with emojis.
