As quickly as summer fled, boot season is fast approaching. While classic six-inch Timberlands are forever a great option for cold weather footwear, there’s no time like the last quarter of 2020 to take it up a major notch. Enter Jimmy Choo and Timberland’s sparkly collab.
The boot powerhouse is no stranger to collaborating (you may recall the Off-White, Opening Ceremony, and Supreme iterations), but these in particular really scream “fash-un.” Playing off of Jimmy Choo's sparkly red-carpet showstoppers, the line consists of four styles: a six-inch Premium Wheat with Swarovski trimming, a six-inch Premium Wheat with gold glitter, and a six-inch Premium Black with glitter and a limited edition six-inch Premium with all-over Swarovski crystals for those who dare to go there.
Jennifer Lopez, the reigning Queen of the Fashion Work Boot (see exhibit A at the 50-second mark) debuted the first glimpse of this collection on Fat Joe’s Instagram during Superbowl Weekend in simpler, pre-pandemic times.
While La Reina wore them with equally sparkly jeans and glittery top, these are made for pandemic dressing and the perfect “what, these old things?” top-off to an otherwise basic sweatsuit.
Not quite sold yet? Don’t worry, there’s more. As we stay looking for any Swarovski-encrusted glimmer of hope we can get, Timberland will plant a tree for each pair purchased from this collaboration. So if not for J-Lo, do it for Mama Earth.
