Cara Delevingne has made no secret of her desire to become a silver screen star, and now that she's been compared to one of the most iconic actresses of all time, she's well on her way.

Delevingne is appearing in her first major acting role in the Sky Arts drama Timeless playing Chloe, the girlfriend of soldier serving in Afghanistan whose coping with war and exploring her relationship with her great grandmother, played by Sylvia Syms. Despite their age difference, the two actresses became chummy on set while hard at work. Syms was so impressed with Delevingne's performance that she likened her to the one and only Audrey Hepburn.

"I worked years ago with a beautiful girl who became very famous," the 80-year-old actress told the Evening Standard according to The Telegraph. "This child here has the same quality which is known as not acting for the camera. She is real and an absolute joy to work with. I was told I was going to work with a model and I had never heard of her but I literally fell in love with her on the first day. The other girl I loved was Audrey Hepburn."

The feeling is clearly mutual as Delevinge heaped praise on Syms in a recent Instagram post. "Thank you skyarts and everyone involved in making Timeless," she wrote. "I am so lucky to have worked with this woman and be able to call her my friend, she has taught me so much!"

Now that Delevingne has received what can only be described as one of the highest compliments a budding actress can be paid, we expect only great things from the 21-year-old as she chases her Hollywood dreams.
