Givenchy's fall 2020 collection show notes opened with a quote by Portuguese artist Helena Almeida: "My work is my body, my body is my work." For her autumnal collection, Clare Waight Keller focused on the beauty of an arthouse heroine. "From the actress' sultry gaze to the bodily gestures of human sculpture, lines are drawn between the gritty heyday of French cinema and musings on performance art," went the show notes. The collection gave off graphic and moody tones with black, white, and red being the most prominent colors. From peak lapel blazers to plush faux furs, Keller has mastered untamed elegance. (We're placing bets that Meghan Markle, a friend of the designer, already has her eyes on a few pieces from this collection.) Check out the full fall 2020 lineup, ahead.
