Day 6 of Fashion Week went better than planned. Elle and I saw a few shows in the tents at Lincoln Center before heading down to the Bebe show in Chelsea. Bebe was the show I was super-excited to go see today, but I was pleasantly surprised at the Badgley Mischka show. It was our first stop of the day at 10 a.m., and let's just say I was not really awake — but, baby, did I wake up when the music started and the first design appeared on the runway! The show was full of silky, flowy fabrics in rose, champagne, and the occasional mint color combinations.
My favorite dress of the collection was a beautiful dusty rose knee-length fitted sequin and flower applique dress. The background of the dress was the rose, but the sequins were champagne, and the flowers were a pale rose. It was definitely breathtaking.
There were also lots of oversized sunglasses, hats (both fitted and floppy), belts, and bags showcased in this collection. My favorite accessory would have to be this gigantic rhinestone belt that looked too fabulous to be true. The belt was toned down with a very simple fly-away thrown over it, but I could see how cinching a gown at the waist with this belt would add just the right amount of pop.
Tomorrow we're off to some more amazing shows. For more Fashion Week updates, stay tuned to MarieClaire.com.
