Michael Slovis To Direct Game of Thrones Season 5

Michael Slovis has joined the Game of Thrones directing team.

The Breaking Bad director will direct the first two episodes of the show's fifth season, reports Den of Geek.

Slovis, who has directing credits on four episodes of Breaking Bad, as well as director of photography credits on over twenty episodes, joins a team of directors including Alex Graves (The West Wing), Michelle Maclaren (Breaking Bad), David Nutter (Shameless) and Alik Sakharov (Dexter).

Graves revealed earlier this year that he will be taking a season break from Game of Thrones, after directing four out of ten episodes of the fourth season. He plans to return for season six.

It's been suggested that the fifth season of Game of Thrones could diverge from George RR Martin's novels.
