Pakistani Taliban on Malala: "She Is Not a Brave Girl."

Share

Three months after 16-year-old Malala Yousafzai stunned the world after giving a courageous UN speech, the Taliban has spoken out against the heroine. Malala, who remarkably survived after being shot in the head by the Taliban last October, has since become a global ambassador for the educational rights of all children.

But despite her vast international impact, her original attackers are far from impressed. "She is not a brave girl and has no courage," said Shahidullah Shahid, spokesman for the main Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) umbrella group. "We will target her again and attack whenever we have a chance."

Malala's inspirational strength and wide-spread message of "education for all" has launched her as a favorite for the Nobel Peace Prize, to be awarded Friday.
