Artis Elite Collection Black Brush Set
The Promise:
Luxury brush company Artis is praised by beauty lovers for being the best of the best. Seriously, once you own a set of Artis Brushes, you've made it. So why are these brush sets a beauty badge of honor? Well, because, they're designed to deliver the most exceptional results in both the feel of the patented microfiber material, and the flawless finish for makeup and skincare products.
Though you can use any of the five brushes in this set however you want to apply liquids, creams, or powders, but, technically, each oval-shaped brush has a specific designation for foundation, contour, blush, bronzer, eye makeup, concealer, eyeliner, brows, lips, spot concealing, etc. I never really pay attention to that, though, and usually instinctively use each brush as I please. Packaging-wise, even the handles are produced from a proprietary metal, which the brand says is also used in the manufacturing of luxury car engines. Oh-so-fancy. Basically, these brushes will make your face look (and feel) like money.
Why I'm Obsessed:
To be 100-percent honest, I use my hands a lot when applying makeup. I'm always in a rush and often don't have time to look for brushes. However, recently I've taken a liking to this matte black set from Artis. And when your brushes look this good on your vanity, you keep those babies front-and-center for whenever you need 'em. Beyond their sexy and sleek appeal, they actually work. The plush brush bristles feel so cushiony and pillow-soft, which makes applying foundation feel like less of a chore and more like an enjoyable facial massage. And with eyeshadow and blush, I've found I don't have to use as much pressure when working the product onto my face. I've also noticed that I've been using way less product than usual, since these make for such a smooth and even application.
If you want to feel extra bad and boujee, use the largest Oval 7 blush to apply your skincare products for spa-like feels in the comfort of your home. Warning: It will ruin you. I'll probably never use my hands again to apply a creamy face mask or a moisturizer. Lathering a mask onto my skin with this bad boy just felt way too good. Don't worry: they won't snap, shed, or get grimy fast, as long as you clean them on a consistent basis. Trust me, this spendy set is a one-and-done type of purchase that will have your face's back for a while.
