Amanda Gorman's MUA Reveals The Secret To Her Glowing Skin
"I wanted her look to be and remain timeless," says Autumn Moultrie.

It seems like overnight, the world became obsessed with Amanda Gorman (opens in new tab)—and for good reason. After her moving recitation at the inauguration, the twenty-two year-old Gorman signed with IMG Models; announced that she will perform a poem during the Super Bowl; and graced the cover of TIME Magazine (opens in new tab).
Her makeup artist for her cover, Autumn Moultrie (opens in new tab), broke down the inspiration and products she used on Gorman–which includes incredible Black-owned brands like Fenty Beauty (opens in new tab), Danessa Myricks Beauty (opens in new tab), Ashunta Sheriff Beauty (opens in new tab), and Latinx-owned brand Beautyblender (opens in new tab). "Her face is a makeup artist’s dream," says Moultrie. "I wanted her look to be and remain timeless, not falling prey to makeup trends that can sometimes be about the makeup and not the subject."

Gorman's cover look, which features a gorgeous yellow gown and a crown-like hair accessory, was all about keeping her skin clean and beautiful, rather than overdone. "It was important to me to use restraint and allow her youthful glow to shine through," says Moultrie. For everyone dying to emulate her stunning beauty look, the products below, plus a hefty dose of confidence, will get you there.
