Just because your New Year's toasts are done and holiday festivities have slowed down doesn't mean the celebrating stops. The 76th Golden Globes awards are here to start off the year with a bang in honor of our favorites on the big screen. Hollywood's notables arrived on the red carpet with screenshot-worthy hair and makeup looks. From teal green eyeshadow to electric blue hair, click through for our favorite non-basic beauty looks.
Lady Gaga was the belle of the ball donning her new electric blue hair swept into an elegant updo. Celeb hairstylist Frederic Aspiras nailed this style using Joico color products and GHD styling tools. Because her icy strands pair so perfectly with her dress, she wins the monochromatic moment of the night. And that classic smokey eye was mastered by makeup artist Sarah Tanno using the Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow in Frivoluxe.
If you're unfamiliar with actress-on-the rise Indya Moore, get used to her fresh face because she did not come to play. She plays a badass role in FX's new series Pose, and looks equally fierce for her first red carpet debut in natural curls and a stunning red lip by celebrity makeup artist Autumn Moultrie created with Pat McGrath Labs Mattetrance Lipstick in Forbidden Love and Elson.
Of course Janelle Monáe, my forever muse, looks like a glowy goddess. “This look is all about glowy, heavenly skin with a touch of Egyptian glam” celebrity MUA Jessica Smalls says who used Giorgio Armani Beauty products to achieve this radiant look. Now excuse me while I go make my box braids appointment so I can wear my hair in double buns exactly like this.
Being the breathtaking queen that she is, Lupita's lashes made me do a double take. Makeup artist Nick Barose gave a nod to the '80's and created this retro look using Lancôme Monsieur Big Color Lash Top Coat in 03 Blue along the roots of her lashes topped with falsies from Lashify in royal blue.
What does Nicole Kidman's black velvet bow remind you of? This classy style instantly reminded us of the Royals...Kate Middleton to be exact. Hairstylist Kylee Heath used new TRESemmé products to complete this look. Kidman wears it so well. Never retire your childhood hair bows, kids, they're timeless.
Hello eyeshadow!!! Lovely to meet you. Camilla Belle accompanied her vibrant eyes with soft pink lipstick, lightly flushed cheeks, and a slicked lob.
I'm so here for this coral moment. Her soft orange shadow paired with this popping lipstick is an #endlesssummer / spring, hurry up vibe. Ben Skervin for Dove Hair wanted to keep her lob looking modern and slick. So, he used Dove Style+Care Smooth & Shine Heat Protection Spray to amp up the shine.
Emily Blunt's eye-catching silver shadow deserves so much praise. To get a metallic hue like this to show up vividly, take a page out of Dior's book and mix highlighter + eyeshadow. Genius. For this look, Diorshow Mono in Minimalism was layered with the mauve tones in the Dior Backstage Eye Palette. Oh, and about this Joan of Arc-inspired updo? Celebrity Stylist Laini Reeves is responsible fo this magic.
To be honest I've been debating which I love more: this fiery-red lipstick or her side-swooped top knot. It doesn't matter because she looks stunning either way.
Leave it to Chantecaille and celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell to create the sultriest smokey eye on actress Thandie Newton. These curls, though. It's no surprise that the imitable DevaCurl pros, one of my all-time favorite haircare lines, tapped texture expert Nai'vasha to perfect these coils. More of this on the red carpet in 2019, please.
This Black Panther Star's glow is practically blinding. Makeup artist Tym Buacharern kept her skin the center of attention by applying Clinique's Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer in #28 Clove to the high points of her face.
Datoka Fanning looks like pure elegance donning thick brows, rosey cheeks, and this effervescent red lip shade.
Makeup artist Adam Breuchaud decided to accompany Lili Reinhart's red fluffy dress with a red smokey eye—another monochromatic moment, FTW! You can expect a bold color payoff like this from none other than Pat McGrath Lab's Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Seduction (it's my current obsession).
Jamie Lee Curtis is a damn queen. That is all.
Spider-Man actress Laura Harrier is slaying in this sleek, lengthy ponytail coupled with a bold red lip.
I stan everyting about this look on Amber Heard. Most importantly, beauty budgeters will appreciate the fact that this quintessential fall shade retails for just $12! It's
