Your Next Favorite Body Lotion Might Be In the Drugstore Aisle

Dry skin, in this economy?

Over the past year, I’ve undergone a sort of body care renaissance. I’ve gone from not being interested in the category at all to having a full, multi-step routine that I do every day. Part of this new lease on the category is that formulas have become significantly more sophisticated, and many of them are now easily accessible at the drugstore.

Lotions in particular are one category I often avoided (yes, I used to walk around ashy under my clothes, sue me), simply because many of the ones I grew up using were super watery yet still left a gross stickiness—it was a sensory nightmare. After about a decade, stepping back into the drugstore to see lotions that truly rival some of my more high-end formulas made by heart (and body care cabinet) expand 10 times over.

If you’re like me and stuck in the arctic tundra that is New York City right now, you’re probably running through your moisturizing body care products at the speed of light. I refuse to let this weather strip my moisture, the way it’s taken my tan (and my joy), so if your only goal is to make it through the next few weeks with your skin looking supple, glowy, and hydrated, keep reading for the best drugstore body lotions to help you do just that.
