The 21 Best New Beauty Products That Launched In June Are Where Supermodel Skin and Minimalist Makeup Meet
My vanity is stacked with fresh mascara, BB creams, hydrating serums, and more.
There is nothing in this world that thrills me more than unboxing new beauty products. Thankfully, it’s my job to do just that, to spotlight the best launches worth adding to your beauty routines.
In case you missed a few, June saw a healthy number of body products launch. Think SPF for your entire body, not just your face, and a pearly body oil that will make you glisten like a Victoria’s Secret angel while you galivant in the city. If a new skincare routine is in your future, a delightfully sensorial face wash caught and kept my attention, and a new set of exfoliating pads from one of my favorite dermatologist-approved brands made my skin glisten like glass.
As for my summer makeup routine, I finally found a powder blonzer (or blush-bronzer hybrid) that makes me look perfectly sunkissed, while helping to keep my oily skin at bay. There was also a new mascara that gives sky-high volume with just a few swipes of the wand. Don’t even get me started on the absolutely stunning fragrances that I’ve been obsessed with either. Seriously, there’s something here for anyone and everyone.
July will see me with my freshest, most dewy skin yet, and of course, I’ll be smelling fantastic too (hint: Bottega Veneta is involved). So if you want to be in the same boat, keep reading to see all the products that Marie Claire editors are loving in June.
"The real test of a great mascara is at the end of the day. Did it smudge? Are there flakes? Do I have raccoon eyes? Are my eyeballs bright red from irritation? When I got home after a long day at the beach—with salt water and humid, sticky weather—to find that my eye makeup looked very much intact after testing this mascara, I was genuinely shocked. It’s also worth shouting out that this does a better job at curling my lashes than any of my other go-to tubing mascaras. Normally, I have to layer mascaras to get this kind of lift and length, but this was such a hardworking multitasker that, between the brush and formula, I was one-and-done. In short, it’s the Goldilocks of tubing mascaras." — Samantha Holender, Senior Beauty Editor
"As a woman with mature skin, a high-coverage foundation is no longer in my daily rotation. I was introduced to this Dr. Jart formulation that sinks into my skin without settling, leaving a youthful, bright glow. It also covers any lingering redness around my eyes and nose." — MC contributor, Jackie Witherow, 77
"Have oily skin but still want to glow? Ilia’s Soft Focus Finishing Powder not only leaves a radiant finish post-application but also helps control shine. It’s a unicorn product that you’ll never want to put down." — Ariel Baker, Beauty Writer
"Who better than the queen of glow to come out with one of my favorite stick highlighters this month? The Unreal Highlighter Glow Stick comes in one universal shade that flatters all skin tones and boasts a formula containing 92 percent skincare ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. It’s like a freshly applied skincare routine in a single product." — AB
"Blonzers are some of my favorite makeup products, especially in the summer, and Fara Homidi decided to make a powder version for the oily girls. There are three shades to choose from, but whichever one you opt for, follow the brand’s application method and dust it on your cheeks, forehead, and chin for a natural-looking sun-kissed effect." — AB
"Want to just throw on a lip and go? Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Kiss Theory Hydrating Lip Balms are the perfect solution. They have the shine of a traditional lip gloss with the color payoff of a lipstick, perfect to throw on and jet before you leave home for the day." — AB
"If you prefer a lip balm that diffuses lip lines, REM’s Blur Butter Lip Balm should be on your radar. It provides a soft, matte finish and has buildable coverage, so you can play with the level of pigment to get the look that you want. Plus, thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid, it nourishes your lips over time, too." — AB
"I’ve never seen a setting spray quite like this one, and of course, Patrick Starr is the mind behind this genius invention. The On 'Til Dawn Bronze Veil takes everything that we know and love about the original formula (i.e., its longwear, waterproof, and transfer-resistant properties) and adds a hint of glow to make the skin glisten. I’ve personally been using it on my body, and I will never leave my house without it ever again. It’s that good." — AB
"Cocokind’s Hydrating Electrolyte Rescue Serum is the perfect addition to any skincare routine, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Glycerin and five weights of hyaluronic and polyglutamic acid are only a few of the deeply hydrating ingredients in this serum, and the milky texture will give your skin a dewy, glassy shine." — AB
"I adore Tatcha, so I had high hopes when it came to the newly released Matcha Foam Cleanser. The gel formula is perfect for balancing oily skin, and the lather provides the best foam for a fun sensory moment. If you have acne-prone skin, this formula also features green clay, which helps address excess oil production and the appearance of pores. It’s a winning product if you ask me." — AB
"Frederic Malle has extended its Acne Studios line to include a body wash and milk, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I was surprised to find that the same notes that made the perfume famous, like aldehydes, rose, peach, and musk, are not only featured in the body milk but are also just as potent as they are in the perfume. So whether you want to ease your way into this collaboration or want to layer all the scents in the line, this moisturizer is a perfect addition to any fragrance lineup." — AB
"K-Beauty has the sunscreen game on lock, and it’s not hard to see why. Not only does Round Labs’ sun serum have an SPF of 50, but it also goes on clear and has hyaluronic acid for an extra boost of moisture." — AB
"In my mind, anything Jamine Tookes says goes, so of course, I had to get my hands on Brunel’s new pearlescent body oil. I'm happy to report that not only does it leave your skin glistening thanks to the tiny shimmers in the formula, but it also smells divine and is perfect to pair with pretty much any perfume, too." — AB
"Colorscience is one of my favorite SPF brands, and they’ve finally come out with a formula just for the body. The No-Show Body Shield is a mineral formula that doesn’t leave a white cast (which is quite the feat), and the best part? It has a sun protection factor of 50 for ultimate coverage from those pesky little UV rays." — AB
"Hand care is chicer than ever before, in part due to formulas like Remedy’s Hand and Cuticle Firming Whipped Cream. Not only is the packaging extremely handy and easy to fit in a purse, but the moisture-rich formula also boasts shea butter and ceramides among its impressive list of ingredients. Plus, it still moisturizes even after multiple hand-washing sessions." — AB
"There’s a good chance that you already know and love Vichy, but the brand has come out with an absolutely stellar product that I can finally talk about. The Liftactiv cream is fantastic for plumping the skin thanks to an infusion of biosynthetic collagen peptides, which are actually small enough to penetrate the skin and provide visible firming results. Even if firming isn’t your primary focus right now, the cream itself feels phenomenal from a sensorial perspective and is a fantastic addition to anyone’s skincare routine. " — AB
"I got the chance to preview Bottega’s Alta collection a few weeks ago, and I haven’t been able to put down the scent Moment After. Bergamot, cardamom, leather, and vanilla are among the notes in the fragrance, and the combination creates a scent that screams 'main character energy.' All the scents are unisex, but this one in particular feels perfect to share with a partner. Though I will say I’ve hidden my bottle from my husband because he was being a little too liberal with how much he was spraying. I will hear no judgment about this." — AB

"Not only has L’Occitaine completely rebranded, but the brand also launched new scents in its famous hair and body mist line. Almond Crème Brûlée is my personal favorite of the two, thanks to its intoxicating blend of roasted almond, vanilla milk, and praline. If you prefer something a bit more woody, opt for the pistachio scent, which has notes of roasted pistachio, vanilla, and almond, and a cedarwood base." — AB
"A brand-new launch from one of Beauty Director Hannah Baxter’s favorite hair care brands, this hydrating sea salt spray provides touchable separation for that coveted sea-swept texture every cool girl in California wears. Plus, there's no dryness or crunch in sight." — AB
