For literature nerds, today must be like Christmas and the Pulitzer Prize-giving and Finding Out There's Going to Be a Sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird Day (oh, wait) all rolled into one.

To add to all the book-based awesomeness, there's the new trailer for Sophie Barthes's Madame Bovary, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Rhys Ifans, Ezra Miller, Paul Giamatti, and Laura Carmichael. (The rest of the Crawleys will be acting in movies soon enough. You'll see.)

If you've forgotten the story from freshman year, it's about a woman who's unsatisfied with her marriage, so she has affairs and buys a lot of stuff on credit, but she doesn't balance her checkbook very well and everything ends in ruin. But judging by the trailer, everything will end in ruin super, mega gorgeously—this is one of those period dramas shot and costumed in a way that will make you want to live in it forever.

Here's the trailer/premade Valentino Fall 2015 ad to haunt all your dreams.
