Social media fans and iPhone photography enthusiasts, rejoice! After much speculation, it was just announced that Instagram has introduced a video component that will allow users to shoot, edit, and filter clips up to 15 seconds in length using the app. In addition, Instagram designed 13 brand new filters specifically for videos, which will still appear in the home feed alongside photos — you can choose your favorite still frame from each recording for your followers to see when it's not playing. We envision that this live-action capability will get some major play during Fashion Month, and designers like Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenburg have already started using the new Instagram to enrich the stories their brands are telling through social media. We don't know about you, but can't wait to start directing our own dreamy video clips like the one from Burberry below. Some moments are just better in motion, right?
