Preview: Liya Kebede's lemem's Pre-Fall Collection
One of Amanda Hearst's favorite brands, lemlem, is expanding its reach this fall. She shares what's next for Liya Kebede's line.
This past weekend, one of my favorite designers, Liya Kebede, previewed lemlem's pre-fall collection at the super-chic Surf Lodge in Montauk. Liya's line, which is handmade by artisans in her native Ethiopia, is known for its colorful kaftans and scarves, but is now expanding to accessories and home goods as well! As a longtime fan of the collection (I wore a lemlem scarf in the April issue of Marie Claire and a kaftan on my New Year's trip to Tulum), I'm so excited to watch the brand grow. Expect to see everyone you know rocking lemlem's cute separates this summer :)
Here is Liya with Bethany Mayer, owner of the Surf Bazaar where Liya showcased her collection.
Here is Liya with fellow designer Yigal Azrouel.
Here I am, once again in lemlem! And for the record, I'm also wearing a vintage Lulu Frost necklace, a vegan Stella McCartney purse, and a pair of organic cotton Covet shorts.
