Built-in Scarves Are the Secret to Looking Put-Together in the Winter—3 Ways to Wear the Trend
And lucky for me, it's a major winter trend.
I’ve always been a devoted lover of layers. Look at my wardrobe, and you'll quickly understand one thing: I never go anywhere without a scarf. So, as you can imagine, I've been very excited about all the sweaters, coats, even dresses with matching scarves attached this season—for me, this is where fashion trend meets destiny.
Pieces with built-in scarves are the easiest way to look put-together without overthinking it. (Bonus: You don't have to worry about losing your scarf halfway through the day.) They're polished, practical, and unbelievably chic, which is probably why I’ve been wearing them on repeat.
The scarf coat
Fashion co-signed the scarf coat last winter, and I'm so happy it hasn't gone anywhere. They make cold-weather dressing feel so much easier (no more searching for the right layer at the last minute—it’s already part of the design), and always look polished. I especially love how the scarf can be styled almost like a poncho, creating a soft, sculptural shape that feels incredibly chic. The effect is always warm, elegant, and beautifully intentional.
The scarf dress
The scarf dress might be my personal favorite take on this trend because of how versatile it is. It has that effortless, throw-on ease I rely on for everyday wear, but you can find versions that are structured enough to feel office-ready. Styling is easy because the integrated scarf drapes naturally without slipping or fussing, giving the outfit a clean, intentional silhouette. It’s the kind of piece that works for almost anything—meetings, errands, even a dinner afterwards. It's become a non-negotiable in my winter rotation.
The scarf sweater
Scarf sweaters have also become a go-to this season. They’re cozy, elegant, and incredibly easy to style—the kind of piece you can throw on and instantly feel dressed. I love wearing them with skirts (they look surprisingly chic, even with sequins), as well as with simple jeans for a more relaxed vibe.
Because the scarf is built in, the whole look feels intentional.
