Beyonce 'Ugly Cried' for Her Fans Last Night

Just let it out, Bey!

Beyoncé may be bossy and confident and "wake up like this," but she's also impressively humble, as she proved last night. At the Lisbon, Portugal stop on her Mrs. Carter tour—her final one of the year-long affair—she burst into tears of gratitude while thanking her fans. It was super-touching. Basically flawless (obviously).

"If you all don't know, tonight makes 132 shows," Beyoncé told the crowd. "Tonight is the last show of the Mrs Carter Show. We started a year ago and I want to say this has been such a journey. In the past year, we've been through so much together. The Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows."

"When I first started the tour, my baby was not even walking yet," she said, to put it all into perspective for the crowd. With any other celebrity, we might be like, "How are we supposed to keep up with the progress reports of your child?" but you know, it's Beyoncé and Blue Ivy. Like more than 11 million other people who follow Queen B on Instagram, we know Blue Ivy's been walking and taking selfies for months now. Duh.

"I just want you to know that I am so lucky. I'm giving y'all an ugly cry," Beyoncé said, bursting out in tears and thrusting "ugly cry" into the competition for phrase of the week. ("Conscious uncoupling" might still win.)

"Thank y'all again," she continued. "Thank y'all for allowing me to have a career. I know that. When I fall, you lift me up. When I'm hungry, you feed me," she said, in what I will defensively assume was a metaphor, because I am a giant fan and I have never gotten to feed Beyoncé.

"I just want to give you my light," she finished the speech off, before breaking out into a rendition of "XO." No doubt it made a lot of her fans in Lisbon "ugly cry," as well as tons of those who watched it via YouTube around the world hours later. Me included—though partly because I was not there in Lisbon last night to receive a shard of Beyoncé's light. WTF.
