2 Dude-Approved Home Fragrances

I don't know about you, but I grew up in a house with a mother who constantly burned scented candles, so I simply cannot imagine a home without the same. My soon-to-be-husband and I just moved into a new apartment and sure enough, I immediately busted out the home fragrance. (It was very exciting because our last apartment was so small/cluttered that open flame was too much of a fire hazard). But it all came to a screeching halt when he was all, "It smells like granny perfume in here."

So much for my fancy lotus blossom and lily candle!

No bigs, though — I also love earthy, fresh scents, and I got these two candles dude-approved:

Belle Fleur Neroli Pine
It's a gorgeous winter forest in a jar. The key notes are crisp evergreen and fir balsam, but it's the honey and Seville orange that make it rich and luxurious. Just divine.

Yankee Candle Sage & Citrus
Gotta love good ol' Yankee Candle! (My mom's candles of choice.) It's hard to find a really good herbal-y candle that doesn't smell like a spa, so I love this one for it's soft, slightly powdery scent.

Do you have a favorite gender-neutral candle? Please share!
