The Secret to Avoiding Visible Concealer

The Secret to Avoiding Visible Concealer

Share

One of my biggest pet peeves is visible concealer, especially under the eyes. Suspiciously matte (or worse yet, shimmery!) or unnaturally thick (and caking into fine lines), undereye concealer usually ends up drawing more attention to the area — exactly the opposite of what you want. Honestly ladies, what's the point, right?

Which is why I love this pro makeup artist trick — tested on the set of Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, and The City (because the High-Def camera doesn't lie): Dab Per-fékt Eye Perfection Gel on top of your concealer to make it look more like skin. The gel texture is suede-like and smoothes over makeup. You can even use it as a smudge eraser for smeared eye pencil or mascara (no more panda eyes!) — without rubbing off your foundation or concealer. Amazing.

Give it a try and tell me what you think.
