I loved Paula Abdul when I was growing up. I had a poster of
her on my wall, saved my allowance for the Shut Up and Dance remix
cassette, and called WMEE in Fort Wayne nonstop trying to win tickets
to see her in concert. So, when I dug up her latest single, it was
partly out of sense of nostalgia. And though I was totally willing to
be bowled over, the song didn't do much for me. However, not long
after, Paul Oakenfold's remix became the highest-ranked workout song of
July. To be honest, I'm not in love with the remix either. But, I was
happily surprised by its success. Accordingly, here's the latest from
