Get the Look: Self-Tanning Legs Video
Follow these steps to get smooth, sexy legs.
Whatever shape your legs are in, they need a little bit of care to help them look great. We're going to show you how to make your legs smooth, slick, and sexy. Here's how to get the look. First, let's talk about hair removal. There are 3 major at-home ways to remove leg hair: with a razor; with hair-removing creams or gels; and waxing. If you're using a razor, select one that's made for women. They usually have a moisturizing strip above the blade and are better designed to prevent nicks and bumps. For hair removal creams and gels, make sure you follow the advice on the label. If they are not a good fit your skin type, you'll have some irritation. Make sure you patch test it first on your legs. If it doesn't feel good, find another method. Home waxing can be tricky and painful. You can choose from a roll-on, strips, or application with a wooden spatula. Only wax if you have growth up to a quarter inch. The next step towards sexy legs is self-tanning. Sun-kissed legs look slim and blemishes are covered. First, you want to exfoliate. Next, choose a tinted self-tanner. That way, you'll be able to see any streaks. For an even application, try mixing the tanner with fragrance-free body lotion. When applying, blend the tanner in well with your hands. Your skin will look smoother and the color more even. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to avoid any staining. If you notice dark spots, use a cotton ball with non-acetone nail polish remover. Gently swipe it over the area to remove some of the tanner. Tanners usually take about 30 minutes to dry. We recommend doing it before bed so that it sets and develops. So, avoid showering until the next day. When you do, don't use any grainy cleansers or harsh soaps. Stick to shower gels.
