Emma Watson, Emma Stone, and now Emily Blunt: The actress is the latest Em in talks to helm her own Disney film, Variety reports. This time, the company is doing a sequel to Mary Poppins, a role Emily is well suited for given her singing background (see: Into the Woods) and adorable British wise-cracking (see every late night talk show appearance ever).
A deal has not been set yet due to scheduling since Blunt is pregnant with her second child. According to the outlet's sources, the film will take place in Depression-era London, 20 years after the first film. It'll draw from P.L. Travers' children books.
No word on whether Julie Andrews or Mary Poppins role contender (and Blunt's Devil Wears Prada co-star) Anne Hathaway will have any part yet.
