It's a boy! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child, a son, via surrogate. Kardashian confirmed the news via Twitter, writing "he's here and he's perfect!"
The couple has yet to announce the name of their new baby boy. His arrival makes Kim and Kanye a family of six, with the new baby joining the couple's other three children: North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, who just turned one in January.
News that Kim's surrogate was in labor first broke on The Ellen Show yesterday. While Kris Jenner was a guest on the show, Kourtney Kardashian surprised her on stage for Mother's Day with six of her grandchildren (Mason, Penelope, Reign, North, Saint, and Chicago) while announcing the newest grandchild was on the way.
The arrival of Kim and Kanye's new baby marks the 10th grandchild for Kris Jenner. The Kardashian/Jenner matriarch is also grandma to Kourtney's three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign, Kylie's daughter Stormi, Khloé's daughter True, Rob's daughter Dream, and North, Saint, and Chicago from the Kardashian-West household.
News that the couple was expecting their fourth child first broke back in January. This marks the second time Kim has welcomed a baby via surrogate. Previously, she opened up about suffering from placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall, which made it unsafe for her to get pregnant again naturally. She also opened up about the process of using a surrogate on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Congratulations to the happy (and growing) family!
