It takes a lot to scare a two-time Olympian like Aly Raisman, but Ellen DeGeneres, the ultimate prankster, gave it her best shot.
Raisman appeared on Wednesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show with her three medals from Rio and her parents, Lynn and Rick, in tow. After discussing her Rio victories and her plans for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, Ellen unleashed one of her usual scare tactics. Mid-interview, an Ellen co-conspirator emerged from backstage and crept up behind the Raisman family.
Aly barely flinched, but her parents—who have had trouble hiding their nerves in the past—definitely jumped. Aly basically just laughed, like "LOL, good try, this doesn't compare to the Olympics." Which really should come as no surprise given that Aly did this in Rio:
