As an incredibly famous actress who goes to a lot of these functions where you have to acknowledge your peers, you would think Nicole Kidman would have tons of experience clapping. But have you ever thought that maybe, for some people, slapping one's hands together is a "skill" you use to pad your résumé, such as "proficient in Microsoft Word" or "fluent in Swahili?"

During the wild ride that was Sunday evening's Oscars, Kidman's curious and unique palm-only technique was observed by the internet, and can only become a massive, universally beloved meme from here.

Maybe she was told to be careful with the jewels? Or her nails? Whatever the case may be...
