You didn't think Michelle Obama was going to wear any old dress to what's rumored to be the Obama's final State Dinner, did you? No, no. FLOTUS came to SLAY in an ivory sponge crepe gown by Lady Gaga's stylist-turned-designer Brandon Maxwell.

"It has been an incredible honor for me and my team to create this dress for the First Lady," said Maxwell in statement, via WWD. "Strong and elegant, she is the embodiment of the woman that inspires me to create, and a role model for women all over the world."

And while President Obama clearly wanted to shout, "Dayummmm, Michelle!" from the rooftops, he had to be a little more diplomatic in front of their special guests—Singapore's prime minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, Ho Ching— and opted for a more family-friendly thumbs up.
