Spring 2025's Most Viral Color Trends Are All on Sale at Nordstrom Right Now
From cherry red to butter yellow, here are the delectable shades to wear this season.

I’m a self-proclaimed minimalist who loves nothing more than to dress in neutrals. However, I’ve recently decided to give my warm-weather capsule wardrobe a vibrant boost by playing into the latest spring 2025 color trends. And to my surprise, the most viral shades of the season are beyond easy to style. Even better, they're all discounted right now during Nordstrom's Spring Sale.
During fashion month, designers like Ulla Johnson and Chanel experimented with a soft butter yellow color palette while Sandy Liang and Ferragamo opted for powdery pink. On the other hand, Gucci and Hermès decided to forgo pastels in favor of bold, juicy cherry red tones. Across other runways, there were also various ocean blue, pistachio green, and mocha mousse hues.
These color trends have since trickled down from the catwalks to a handful of retailers, including Nordstrom. Did I mention that the beloved retailer is hosting a huge spring sale? Through Monday, March 24, Nordstrom will offer up to 50 percent off select items. I discovered a sleek slip skirt for $39 and a lace-trimmed mini dress for $43, and that's just a sneak peek. Scroll on for a handpicked list of 36 on-sale items that embrace spring 2025’s best color trends.
Cherry Red
Gucci showcased its signature “Rosso Ancora” color by way of a floaty halter neck dress.
Cherry red has been dominating fashion’s trend cycle for several seasons now, and this fiery shade shows no signs of slowing down. It’s the type of color you drench yourself in when you’re looking for a boost of confidence.
Ocean Blue
Follow Miu Miu’s lead and take a dive into blue.
If you’re in the mood to manifest a coastal getaway, consider tints of blue that resemble clear Caribbean waters. Take your nautical-inspired look up a notch by enhancing your outfit with fisherman aesthetic accessories like net bags and shell necklaces.
Powdery Pink
Sandy Liang mastered dainty dressing with a line of pale pink pieces, including this satin frock.
For those of you who are wondering, the girlhood aesthetic is very much alive and well. Provided that you want to add an ultra-feminine touch to your outfit, try one of the charming styles below. Keep things casual with trendy sneakers or elevate your look with a slip dress.
Butter Yellow
According to Ulla Johnson, the best shade of yellow starts with a “B” and ends with an “R”.
If you didn’t test-drive the butter yellow color trend last year, now is the perfect opportunity to sample this tasty shade. Yep, it’s back for another spin around the trend cycle, and Nordstrom has everything you could possibly need to incorporate this hue into your closet.
Pistachio Green
In the world of Chloé, no spring wardrobe is complete without a splash of green.
I don’t own a single item of pistachio green clothing, but Chloé’s Spring 2025 collection convinced me that I must give this color a try this season. I’ll be doing just that with the selection of pieces below, from cropped trench coats that will keep me cool amid temperature dips to airy maxi dresses that will save me during heat waves.
Mocha Mousse
For the minimalist girlies who aren’t fond of saturated shades, don’t stress. Jason Wu and a slew of other designers have an alternative for you—it’s called mocha mousse.
A few months ago, Marie Claire’s E-Commerce Editor Julia Marzovilla predicted that shades of mocha mousse would soon be everywhere, and boy, was she right. Coveted brands like Madewell, Mango, and Open Edit are all favoring this chocolatey color, and it’s only a matter of time before other labels hop on board.
