Selena Gomez "Bailed" On Rehab, Left Her Program Early

TMZ now reports that Selena Gomez's two weeks in rehab last month didn't constitute a complete treatment program, and that the singer/actress "bailed" out early. Gomez had checked into The Meadows clinic's DAWN program, which is six weeks long, to deal with addictions to alcohol, marijuana and the prescrpition drug Ambien, as well as "what her people believe is an unhealthy union with Justin Bieber." But she left after just a fortnight to attend the Sundance Film Festival — where she was promoting her new film Rudderless. Not touching that movie title one bit right now.

Gomez did complete the "toughest week" of the program, Survivor's Week — which is a signature workshop at The Meadows, dealing with "early childhood trauma and uncovers the origins of adult dysfunctional behaviors." And with that achieved, TMZ says Selena thinks she's fine right now, and doesn't need to return for further treatment. Staff at The Meados feel otherwise, and say completing all three phases of the DAWN program is essential for any sustainable recovery.
