Iggy Azalea's New Video Copies Clueless

And we are totally buggin'.

Share

Iggy Azalea, a storied devotee of booty shorts and crop tops, has now revealed herself as a fan of something else we all know and love: Clueless. The Australian pop singer has just released her new music video for "Fancy," and it's a full-on ode to Cher Horowitz.

Charli XCX, who's featured on the track, plays Tai (post-makeover of course) and Iggy stars as Cher. From walking down the hall in her yellow plaid number with Dionne to the tennis scene with Amber's epic "my plastic surgeon doesn’t want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose" line (sports bras over t-shirts forever), Iggy covers all the best moments in the movie. According to this behind-the-scenes video, they even filmed in the same high school and on the same freeway as the Clueless folks did, because if you're going to do the thing, you better do it right.

Even though Iggy was only five years old when Clueless came out in 1995 (!!!) we have to give her kudos for such a spot-on depiction. The only thing she missed: That happily ever after (former) step-brother makeout with Paul Rudd... still waiting on that.
