UNICEF is launching a new social media campaign via Instagram and Twitter to raise money and awareness for the refugee children in Syria. The #WakeUpCall challenge urges people to share a photo of themselves within moments of waking up (think Bey's #IWokeUpLikeThis). Like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, participants must nominate three others to participate in the challenge and donate as well.
Celebrities and the fashion set have already started participating—Naomi Campbell took to her Instagram and Twitter to post her #WakeUpCall selfie urging followers to donate by texting SYRIA to 70007.
