We've been waiting impatiently for the return of our favorite award-winning drama series "Mad Men," but Tuesday's announcement about the show's upcoming season is toying with our hearts.
There's good and bad news. On the brighter side, AMC revealed that the series' final season will be expanded to fourteen episodes. The not so great news is that the episodes will air over two seasons, which means more long days waiting for Don Draper are ahead.
The first seven-episode season, titled "The Beginning," will air on the cable network spring 2014. The second seven episodes, "The End of an Era," will air in spring 2015. This split season formula is not new to AMC. "Breaking Bad," another AMC hit series, split its final season into two and managed to attract a record number of viewers to the second-half premiere.
