Check out the Club

I drink club soda non-stop.  It actually helped me break my addiction to Diet Coke.  So I did a little research on my favorite beverage.  Turns out club soda, sparkling water, seltzer has almost as many uses as hydrogen peroxide.

Carbonated water, also known as soda water, sparkling water, or seltzer water, is plain water into which carbon dioxide gas has been dissolved. The process of dissolving carbon dioxide gas is called carbonation. It results in the formation of carbonic acid (which has the chemical formula H2CO3).

Generally, soda water was produced in the home by "charging" a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding sodium bicarbonate. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler. These additives are included to emulate the slightly salty taste of homemade soda water.

Carpet Cleaner:

For stains on carpet or clothing, try pouring on a little club soda, then dab gently until the stain is gone. This works best when the stain is fresh

Children’s Drinks:

Make an inexpensive, healthy fruit soda for children by mixing equal amounts of your favorite fruit juice with ice-cold club soda.

Adult Drinks:

Many cocktails are made with club soda, and usually accompanied with a citrus squeeze of some kind.

Home Remedy:

Club soda and bitters eliminate an upset stomach, and also an immediate cure for heartburn.

Stain Removal:

Remove stains from coffee mugs with club soda. Fill the cup with soda and let it sit, then rub with any type of towel to remove stains.  Club soda also works great for removing stains from silver items.

You can clean and have a refreshing, decaffeinated beverage while you clean!
