Hi, I'm Ning Chao, Senior Beauty Editor at Marie Claire, and today, I'm going to interview celebrity make-up artist, Mally Roncal. So, she is the creator of Mally Beauty Cosmetics but she also does the makeup for Beyonce, Joss Stone, Rashida Jones, and lots of other stars. And Mally, you're going to teach us what to do to have strategic shimmer
shimmer on the face.
Exactly, because, you know, we had this conversation that shimmer powder-
Uh-hmm.
has ruined the world. Here's a great tip: You want to put it again in the right places.
Uh-hmm.
You want to do just a little bit right across the brow, just like so, but very soft, not that 1986 white shimmer on the brows.
Okay.
Obviously, you want to take a little bit, put it right on that cheek bone. We all know that that really widens the face. I love a little bit right inside, everybody has this very sort of dark inner pocket-
Uh-hmm.
right in here. So, you always want to add a little bit there. A little bit right on the tip of the nose will really bring a little luminosity and make the nose look a little more streamlined, right on the cupid's bow of the lips. I took a little bit of that shimmer cream-
Oh.
or shimmer powder, put it on the apples of the cheeks, smile for me, right there but you put it on before your blush.
Oh.
So, once you put the blush on, that glow literally does come from within. You want to take shimmer and put it again on those very strategic places that's really gonna lift the face and make you look dewy and fresh but not like a shimmery disco ball.
